BUSH CAMP OVERNIGHT INFORMATION HANDBOOK
CAMP PROGRAMMING
SAMPLE OF A BUSH CAMP EVENING (FAMILY & GROUP NIGHTS):
This itinerary is adjusted for Bush Camp Jr. and Adult Nights, and is subject to change dependent on weather and operational concerns.

| 10:00 AM | Return to parking area (Program End) Bush Camp takes place rain or shine. Program content and times, however, may change due to altering day lengths, unforeseen animal situations, and weather conditions. In the event of program changes, we will always do our best to maintain the integrity of the experience. |
WHAT THE BUSH CAMP FEE INCLUDES
Your overnight experience includes the following:
- Accommodation in authentic African tents, complete with cots
- Behind-the-scenes opportunity in the African Savanna area
- Fully guided program, including interactive walking tours of African Savanna & African Rainforest Pavilion and an evening adventure
- Buffet-style dinner and breakfast
- Campfire (weather permitting)
- Campfire snack (s'mores and marshmallows)
- Zoomobile ride to and from camp
- Zoo admission during the overnight
- Complimentary parking during the overnight
- Complimentary admission to the rest of the Zoo either the day of your overnight or the day after* (Non-transferable and no cash value. Parking not included.)
Note: Shower facilities, sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets are not included.
SPECIALIZED BUSH CAMP NIGHTS
Bush Camp Jr.
These nights are specifically designed to be appropriate for our smallest campers (ages 2-5) and their families. The Bush Camp program is not appropriate for children under two years of age.
This includes:
- Age- appropriate activities and tours
- Additional child friendly meal options
- Early bedtime
- Allowance for items such as strollers and playpens, if required
Adult Night
For those campers who would like to enjoy a more mature experience, we also offer "Adult Nights" (ages 19+). The program is altered to be more appropriate for the audience.
Adult Nights feature:
- More in-depth tours
- Evening activities
- Enhanced menu
- Special interactive presentation (subject to change without notice)
CAMPFIRE
Campfire is dependent on weather conditions. If campfire cannot take place due to severe weather or smog alerts, an alternative program will take place. During the campfire program participants enjoy campfire snacks.
ZOOMOBILE TRANSPORTATION
Upon arrival, Bush Camp staff will meet and escort you to a Zoomobile that will transport you and your gear to Bush Camp.
The Zoomobile is a touring tram at the Toronto Zoo. A live commentary provides fun facts while the Zoomobile tours around the perimeter of the Zoo allowing alternative views of some animals.
Please be on time for your arrival, as the Zoomobile will leave promptly at the designated program start time.
EXTEND YOUR VISIT
As the Bush Camp program focuses on the African areas of the Zoo, we invite you to enjoy a complimentary visit to the rest of the Zoo by arriving early on the DAY OF your overnight or DAY AFTER, the following morning after the Bush Camp program ends. Please make your selection during the registration process.
Note: This offer is for Bush Camp participants only, is not transferable, and has no cash value. Offer is only valid for admission. Parking of personal vehicles during extended visits will be subject to the Zoo's regular parking fees. Visit is subject to the Zoo's regular operating hours. Photo ID may be requested at time of offer redemption.
BUSH CAMP MERCHANDISE & SOUVENIRS
Various merchandise (e.g. t-shirts, crests, hats) will be available for purchase during your overnight stay. Payment is accepted using cash, debit, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). Sorry we do not accept personal cheques, as form of payment.
