Serengeti Bush Camp takes place in the Toronto Zoo's African Savanna.
CAMP HOURS
Camp hours are from 4:30 pm until approximately 10:00 am the next morning.
Due to the nature of the program, early departures or late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

YOUR GUIDES
Bush Camp Guides are enthusiastic, experienced, and knowledgeable Zoo Staff, many of whom return to their position season after season. Guides are trained extensively to provide a safe, fun, and engaging experience for Bush Camp participants.
ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES
The Toronto Zoo is committed to environmental protection and awareness, and innovative action toward sustainable operations. Our dedication stems from a deep appreciation for biodiversity preservation and animal welfare. The Zoo's environmental initiatives can be viewed at torontozoo.com/fightingextinction. As part of this commitment we encourage all campers to bring re-usable plastic cups and/or water bottles to use at our water refill stations.
CONSUMER IMAGE POLICY
During your visit, you may be filmed, taped, or photographed by or on behalf of the Toronto Zoo. Your admission to the Zoo serves as permission to use, record, reproduce, broadcast, and distribute—for any purpose—any photographs, video, digital, audio, or other recordings of you taken during your visit.
The commercial use of photographs, video, or film images of the Toronto Zoo animals, staff, volunteers is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from the Zoo.
Please note: No schools, organized youth groups, or minors will be photographed by Zoo staff during their visit.
COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
The personal information on the registration form is collected under the authority of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, and Chapter 329 of the City of Toronto Municipal Code. The information is used to process your application for program participation, the registration of individuals in programs, payment of fees, collection of outstanding fee amounts, aggregate statistical reporting, contacting clients regarding upcoming programs, and additional mailings, including newsletters/surveys and email notifications and receipt transactions. We collect personal information about our campers and their families through registration and medical forms. As per OCA standards, any information about our campers is stored in a secured area. Personal information can only be communicated to parent/guardian identified on the registration. We do not sell or solicit our database information.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Toronto Zoo is committed to meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians With Disabilities Act (AODA), and offers a fully accessible camp experience to all campers. All Education facilities for the public are barrier- free.
We accept the Access 2 card for Serengeti Bush Camp programming. The Access 2 cardholder will pay full price and receive a discounted Bush Camp rate for their support person.
If you are an Access 2 card holder and require your support person to participate in Serengeti Bush Camp, please email [email protected] with a photo of your Access 2 card and we can assist in completing your registration. Please note: your support person will be required to accompany you for the entirety of the program and sleep in the same tent as you - ensure to include them in your participant numbers.
