DISCOVERY ZONE

Splash Island – 2 acre Splash Pad!
Your guests can cool off at Splash Island, the perfect destination for a hot, summer day! With two acres of hands-on, non-stop family fun amidst waterslides, water-spouting animals, waterfalls, and tipping buckets, the Zoo’s splash pad is the best way to beat the summer heat. Kids will enjoy the cool water as they explore and learn about which Canadian plants and animals live in different bodies of water. Splash Island is a great way to relax, cool down, and have fun!

Kids Zoo
Learn, Laugh, and Play!
Specially designed for young visitors, Kids Zoo is a dynamic and interactive experience that allows your guests and their families to meet and interact with much-loved domestic animals, such as alpacas, goats, rabbits, woodchucks, and domestic ferrets. Your guests will love the unique photo opportunities as kids pop up inside a plexiglass bubble to come face-to-face with a guinea pig, dig for dinosaur eggs, whoosh down the two-storey treehouse’s slide, or bird watch in our giant aviary. They might even meet a Zookeeper!

INTERACTIVE DISCOVERY STATIONS

Spark your sense of wonder & curiosity about the natural world!
Visitors have the opportunity to discover more about the animal kingdom through hands-on interactions with a variety of animal biofacts, including skulls, fur, and feathers, at one of the Zoo’s many on-site Volunteer-hosted Interactive Discovery Stations. The Zoo’s dedicated and knowledgeable Volunteers are available to answer questions.

The Interactive Discovery Stations are located within the major pavilions during the fall/winter season and on the Zoo site during the spring/summer season.
