Your Toronto Zoo is thrilled to be awarded the Canoo Partner of the Year Award by the Institute for Canadian Citizenship (ICC) for the second year in a row. This award celebrates the Canadian culture and nature institutions that set a new standard in helping newcomers feel at home in Canada.
The Partner of the Year award recognizes the Canoo partner attraction that welcomed the most newcomers in 2024: Your Toronto Zoo was the stand-out favourite among Canoo members. Last year your Toronto Zoo hosted 54,000 Canoo members at our site and we hope to see this number continue to grow in future.
“At your Zoo, our mission is connecting people, animals, conservation science and traditional knowledge to fight extinction” says Dolf DeJong, CEO, Toronto Zoo. “But we don’t just protect animals. We protect hope. We protect connection. We protect and champion the idea that no matter who you are, or where you’re from, you belong here. On behalf of everyone at your Toronto Zoo we are proud, grateful and honoured to accept the 2024 Partner of the Year Award.”
That’s your Zoo team and our city believing in something bigger than ourselves.
