Thank you for planning your visit to your Toronto Zoo! The Toronto Zoo has over 3,000 animals representing over 300 species and 10km of walking trails. Our Zoo is divided into seven zoogeographic regions as you will see on the Zoo Map. We are dedicated to providing the animals in our care with the means to live long and enriching lives while connecting people to wildlife. We look forward to welcoming you!

For the care and safety of the animals in our care and others, we request that all guests self-screen prior to entering the Toronto Zoo. Please respect individual choices regarding the wearing of masks.

The Toronto Zoo is open every day, all year!

Current Hours Until September 2
9:00am - 7:00pm daily*

*Please note:
  • Last admission is one hour before Zoo closes.
  • All Pavilions and African Savanna open at 9:30am.
  • Africa Rainforest Pavilion and Indomalaya Pavilion close at 6:30pm.
  • On weekends and holidays, members enjoy early access! Gates open at 8:30am, allowing you to experience the zoo before it officially opens. Some animals may begin their activities at 9am (or 9:30am as specified).

The Toronto Zoo is set in the beautiful Rouge Valley.
The Main Entrance is located on Meadowvale Road, Toronto, north of Highway 401
(Exit #389 eastbound and westbound).

Parking is $15.00.

The Zoo is accessible by car and public transit.

EV Charging stations are available in Section C of our main parking lot.

The Flo Level 2 stations are operational using a credit card, a Flo card or through the Flo app. Visit https://www.flo.com/en-CA/drivers/network/ to learn more about using the EV charging stations. Charging stations are on a first come, first serve basis. Once your vehicle has been charged, we ask that guests please move their vehicles to allow others to access them.

Animals or people, we make sure everyone is well fed at your Toronto Zoo. Look for one of our many well-known establishments, or bring your own picnic lunch! . Picnic tables are available at various locations throughout the Zoo. *Please note, all hours and locations are weather dependent.

Rentals

Rentals are available daily in our front entrance courtyard. Strollers and wagons are available on a first come first serve basis. A limited capacity of wheelchairs and ECVs can be reserved online seasonally.

  • Safari Car Wagon - $10.00 + tax - Up to Two Children
  • Wheelchairs - Complimentary - One Adult or One Child
  • ScooterPals - $5.00 Activation + $0.35 Cents Per Minute + tax
  • Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) - $38.75 + tax - One Adult (18+)
  • Lockers - $1.00 per one time rental
