Leveraging ZooAI to Support Polar Bear Care and Lifelong Well-Being9:00am
At the Toronto Zoo, machine learning and existing surveillance cameras are being combined through ZooAI, a computer vision-based tool designed to automatically detect and classify polar bear behaviours in real time. During this Member Monday event, guests will learn how AI-enhanced monitoring can help expand animal care insights beyond the typical 9–5 workday by providing continuous information on key behavioural welfare indicators, activity patterns, and habitat use.

Stop by the Orangutan habitat and learn how do we keep smart animals, like orangutans, mentally engaged? Understanding how orangutans see the world is vital for how your Toronto Zoo designs positive experiences and the most appropriate challenges for the orangutans. In this talk, you will learn about the orangutans' journey in learning various cognitive games, their favourite foods, and how we use enrichment as a scientific tool to step into the minds of one of our closest relatives.

Animal Stamp Rally
Visit your Toronto Zoo and explore the Zoo, searching for animal stamps along the way. Pick up your stamp passport at the membership office. Collect a stamp from each station located within the Zoo and submit it at the membership office for your chance to win!

Game links will be posted on the Member Monday schedule page on August 24th, 2026. Games are confined to the Indo-Malayan Pavilion and the Australasia Pavilion. Complete both games for two chances to win! Once you spot the correct habitat or animal, take a selfie in front of it and upload your photo as your answer to the corresponding question. Submit the form once all the answers are in and you will be entered in a draw to win a goodie bag!
