Wednesday, October 29th
6:30pm - 9:00pm

Join your Toronto Zoo and conservation partner Planet Madagascar for an exciting evening talking all about lemurs and the important in-situ work being done to protect Madagascar's unique biodiversity. Dr. Travis Steffens, Planet Madagascar’s founder and director, will speak to the amazing biodiversity of Madagascar including lemurs, the most endangered group of animals in the world.

He will be joined by Toronto Zoo staff member Ben Martin who recently travelled to Madagascar to consult on Planet Madagascar's reforestation initiatives. Ben will share his unique experiences on the "eighth continent" and discuss the importance of incorporating community members into conservation.

Following the talk, engage with the researchers during a panel discussion on what the future holds for Planet Madagascar's conservation work and some reasons for optimism.

Proceeds from the event will be supporting Planet Madagascar and their in-situ initiatives.
