Terms Of Membership: Membership is NOT TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. Only named individuals are entitled to Membership benefits. A photo ID from each adult member is required along with valid Membership card to gain admission to the Zoo. Use of membership by unauthorized persons will result in the forfeiture of the membership. The Toronto Zoo will not be responsible for any Zoo closures caused by conditions beyond the reasonable control of the Toronto Zoo, including, but not limited to, Acts of Gods, government restrictions, natural disasters, strikes or lock-outs, accident, transportation delay, weather or power failure.

  • All new Membership and Parking Pass purchases are effective from the date of purchase.
  • Membership cards can be picked up from the Membership Office on your first visit, or you can use your new digital Membership cards by accessing your account online.
  • Parking Passes are not yet digital and must be picked up from the Membership Office on your first visit. If you have renewed your existing Parking Pass, it will continue to be valid.
  • Photo ID is required at the entry gate for all cardholders to enter or you can upload your picture to your digital membership card by logging into your account above and clicking on the "Membership" tab.

  • What do I need to know for my first visit?
  • Thank you for supporting your Toronto Zoo by becoming a member. The fees associated with your membership help support our conservation efforts and the fight against extinction.

    To gain admission to your Toronto Zoo, you will need to show your digital or physical membership card along with photo ID. Please make sure that each adult named on the membership has photo ID with them. This will be required for every visit during the duration of your membership. Alternatively, you can upload your picture to your digital membership card in lieu of showing photo id each time.

    If you purchased your membership online, your digital membership card is automatically emailed to you. Please check your spam or junk folder if it is not in your inbox.

    Annual parking pass purchases have not yet gone digital. If you purchased a new parking pass, you will need to pick up your card from the membership office before you attempt to exit the parking lot. If you purchased a renewal parking pass, it will be updated within 48 hours of your purchase.

    Our on-site office hours are the same as the Zoo’s operating hours. Membership & parking purchases are not mailed out.

  • When does my membership expire? How can I check my expiration date?
  • Toronto Zoo memberships start from the day they are purchased and are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Your expiration date is located on your membership card. If you purchased a two-year membership before our membership program changed on June 5th 2023, your expiration will be two years from the date of purchase.

  • How do I access my online account?
  • To access your online account, you will need to create your membership account. After purchasing your membership please navigate to our login portal here Toronto Zoo | My Account. If you have not yet set up your account, click “create a new account.” Please make sure you are using the email that was used to purchase your membership to create the account. Complete the required fields to set up your account and password. If your account is already set up, click “forgot your password” to reset your password using your email.

    From your online account you will be able to access your existing membership details, digital cards, upload your photo and renew your membership.

  • When does my parking pass expire?
  • Parking passes start the day they are purchased and will expire the same date as your membership expires, even if purchased after the start of your membership. The annual member parking pass can only be purchased with an active membership and therefore expires the same date as your membership.

  • My contact information has changed. How do I update it?
  • You can make changes to your contact information in person, through email, or over the phone. Our office is open daily and operates the same hours as the Zoo. Please call us to update your membership details at 416-392-9101 or email the changes to [email protected].

  • I’m looking to purchase a membership, but my child is under the age of three. Do they need to be covered under a membership?
  • Children two and under receive free admission and are not required to be included on your membership. If you are purchasing a membership and have no children aged three or older, please purchase a membership that does not include children.

    If you have any children in your household between the ages of three and fifteen, you will require a membership that includes children. Alternatively, you can add a cub to any membership type. If you have any questions about which membership is right for you please call us at 416-392-9101 or email your questions to [email protected].

  • My child would like to visit without me, but they are not named on the card. Can they visit?
  • Children who are covered under a membership can visit by themselves if they are 12+. Children under the age of 12 cannot visit the Zoo unaccompanied by an adult. Children 12+ visiting on a membership by themselves do not need to show photo ID but will need a membership card to gain admission at the front gate.

  • I’ve lost/misplaced my membership card and/or parking pass. How can I replace them? Is there a fee?
  • If you have lost/misplaced your physical membership card, you can replace each card for $5. If you would like to avoid paying the $5 fee, we highly recommend using your digital membership card.

    If you have lost/misplaced your parking pass you can replace it for $10. Cards can be replaced in person at the membership office.

    If you lost your cards at the Zoo, lost membership cards or parking passes are often returned to our office. We will contact you by phone to inform you of the returned card or you can reach out to our membership team by calling 416-392-9101 or emailing [email protected] 

  • Can I apply my admissions towards a membership?
  • If you would like to apply your daily admission towards the purchase of a membership you can do so over the phone or in person within 14 days from your visit. Only admission for registering members can be applied against the cost of the membership. Please email us a copy of your admission receipt to [email protected] or call us at 416-392-9101.

    If purchasing a parking pass, you can also apply one daily parking fee towards the annual pass by providing your parking receipt as well.

  • I just purchased my membership and did not receive my order confirmation. How can I receive this?
  • If you did not receive your order confirmation to your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder. If you are unable to locate it please email [email protected] or call us at 416-392-9101.  

  • Do members need to make a reservation to visit the Zoo?
  • Currently, members do not need to make a reservation to visit the Zoo. Members can proceed directly to any open scanning gate and bypass the ticket sales line.

  • Are memberships transferable?
  • Memberships are non-transferable, meaning that the adults registered at the time of purchase cannot be changed and must show photo ID or match the photo on your digital card. Any use of the membership by unauthorized persons may result in the forfeiture of your membership.

    Any guests visiting with you who are not named on the membership would be required to purchase a day admission ticket or use a complimentary guest pass that is included with gold memberships.

  • What are the complimentary guest passes included with the Gold membership tier?
  • Gold memberships include the benefit of two complimentary one-time use guest passes that can be used anytime until your current membership expires. Members do not need to be present when they are used by the guest. These guest passes can be used to cover any regular admission type.

  • Do all memberships include the Zoomobile?
  • Gold memberships include the benefit of Zoomobile rides (subject to weather and availability). Silver memberships do not include the Zoomobile.

  • Do I get a discount on the membership with and Access2 card?
  • Members with an Access2 card do not receive a discount off the price of the membership, however anyone with a disability, regardless of if they are part of the Access2 program, can bring one support person in with them for free if required.

  • How can I gift a membership?

  • Is annual parking included in the membership fee?
  • The annual parking fee is not included in the price of the membership. Annual parking is a separate fee that you can add on to your membership. Annual parking is $50 if you are buying a new pass. If you previously had a parking pass and you still have the physical card, you can renew it for $45.

  • I purchased annual parking but I forgot to bring my pass with me. How do I exit the parking lot?
  • If you forgot to bring your parking pass with you to the Zoo, please visit the membership office to pick up a complementary day parking pass. The complementary day parking pass can only be issued to active members who have purchased annual parking. Only one complementary day parking pass can be issued per membership, per day. Please make sure you visit our office before you attempt to leave the parking lot.

  • I forgot my membership card at home. Can I still visit without my membership card?
  • If you forgot to bring your membership card with you to the Zoo, please visit the membership office to pick up a temporary membership pass. The temporary membership pass will allow you to receive the full benefits of your membership level without your membership card present. The temporary pass will only work for the day it is requested. It can only be requested by active members. Please make sure you visit the membership office before you attempt to gain entry at the front admission booth.

  • Does my membership get me discounts at other Zoo’s?
  • As a member of an accredited Zoo you receive discounted or free admission at other Zoos & Aquariums across North America. You can find the list of participating Zoos & Aquariums here: AZA Reciprocal Admissions | Free Zoos and Aquarium Admission. You will be required to present your membership card at these reciprocal Zoos to be eligible for this discount. We highly recommend reaching out to the Zoo or Aquarium you intend to visit ahead of time to confirm what is required.
