American Toad sitting in the mud

The Spring Toad Festival is coming back to your Toronto Zoo Saturday, May 3, 10am - 3pm!

Celebrate the arrival of spring by experiencing the sights and sounds of male American toads performing their breeding rituals in search of that special someone. This annual wetland festival also coincides with Salamander Saturday, a global initiative to raise awareness about salamanders and their habitats.

Join the Adopt-A-Pond Wetland Conservation team at the Canadian Wetlands habitat from 10:00am to 3:00pm as we celebrate all things amphibians with games, giveaways, resources, and more!

It’s “toad-ally” fun for the whole family!
