OUR TEAM

Zoo Camp counsellors are post-secondary level students, hired for their experience, leadership, and enthusiasm for working with children.

Our pre-camp training prepares Zoo Camp counsellors to work with a variety of children throughout the summer. All Zoo Camp counsellors are required to submit a Police Reference Check (vulnerable sector check).

Zoo Camp counsellors are supported by various administrative, programming, and supervisory staff in the Learning & Engagement office. Student Volunteers may also assist the counsellors in providing a safe and memorable camp experience to participants. Zoo Camp also relies on the teamwork of many other Zoo Divisions including Wildlife Care, Guest Operations, and Health & Safety.
