African Penguins are one of the S.A.F.E. species here at the Toronto zoo. Their numbers have plummeted over the past 100 years and are expected to become extirpated in the next 10-15 years.
Join us from 11:00am - 3:00pm at the African Penguin exhibit where you can meet your lovable feathered friends. The day will be filled with special meet & greets, family activities, silent auctions and draws for unique penguin prizes. Don't forget to join us at 12:30pm for a special Keeper Talk, and 1:00pm for a penguin encounter!

Attention global art lovers: Our resident penguin artists will be giving a public art demo which will being going up for auction at the end of the event!
The Toronto Zoo participates in the Species Survival Plan (SSP) for African penguins, and 100% of the proceeds from a special silent auction, penguin merchandise sales, and special tours at the penguin exhibit will be donated to the South African non-profit "SANCCOB" and their amazing efforts in seabird rehabilitation and reintroduction.
