Bats: The True Stars of the Night Special Presentation

3:30pm to 5:00pm

Meet the Zoo's Native Bat Conservation Team and learn about the bats of Ontario and the extraordinary work that the Toronto Zoo is doing to study bats in the wild. Also, build a bat house to take home! Bat houses provide homes for bats and can be used by several of the eight Ontario bat species. This is a fun opportunity to help them out and learn more about their conservation.

This experience will also include a visit with the Zoo’s very own am”bat”ssador, Stevie the fruit bat!

COST: $15 (Member), $20 (Non-Member) for talk only. Bat House kits sold separately after purchase of tickets to presentation. $20 per bat house kit/family.


Recommended for ages 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. *Cost is per individual

**Optional bat house kit sold separately after initial purchase. A portion of the proceeds gathered for this program will be directed towards funding native bat conservation at the Toronto Zoo.

Please note, on Wednesday, 2018-03-28 a portion of the Americas Pavilion will be closed for a special event taking place from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. The Americas Pavilion aviary and primate wing will remain open during that time period and the full Americas Pavilion will reopen as of 12:00 pm.
