Global Tiger Weekend

Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, 2019
Indo-Malaya Pavilion courtyard
11:00am – 3:00pm
Free with admission

Join the Toronto Zoo in celebrating Global Tiger Weekend! Our celebration not only focuses on the plight tigers are facing in the wild, but aims to build appreciation for this beautiful carnivore. Get to know our Sumatran tiger’s Hari and Kemala and enjoy activities such as: touch tables, educational games, extra enrichment opportunities, and a chance to meet our tiger keepers. Sumatran Tigers are critically endangered in the wild. Tiger’s only live in 7% of their historic range, and in the last 100 years we have lost 97% of the global wild tiger population. With less than 400 Sumatran Tigers left in the wild we need your help to ensure a rich diversity of wildlife for future generations. The Toronto Zoo and Global Tiger Weekend supports the Tiger Conservation Campaign which aids in fighting illegal wildlife crime in Sumatra.
