Parks Canada returns for another summer at the Toronto Zoo! As long-time partners, both the Toronto Zoo and Parks Canada continue to work together for education and conservation of wildlife, and ecological integrity. From June 30th - August 8th 10:00 am to 5:00 pm visit the four Parks Canada stations for interactive and educational activities surrounding Canadian wilderness, heritage, biodiversity, and culture, PLUS discover more about some of the Canadian species the Zoo and Parks Canada are working hard to help protect!
- Drop by the Parks Canada Front Courtyard Kiosk to pick up your Parks Canada Xplorers Booklet and begin your adventure observing and appreciating some of your "wild" Canadian neighbours. Once your booklet is complete return to the Parks Canada Kiosk to receive your special Parks Canada souvenir.
- Wildlife Monitoring and Observing - nestled in the Core Woods of the Zoo –this station is the perfect place to learn how to explore nature by looking and listening for signs of wildlife in their natural habitat. Here you can also test your knowledge of Canada’s biodiversity with our species identification challenges.
- Take a quick trip up north to Tundra Trek to explore Inuit culture and Arctic expeditions!
- Just outside the Americas Pavilion hear about our many conservation stories surrounding our species at risk and their fragile ecosystems. Plus, learn more about the easy things you can do at home to help our wildlife neighbours.
