HOUND THE TORONTO ZOO
FOR CHINESE "YEAR OF THE DOG"

WHO: Dholes, hyenas, and Arctic wolves, all exotic members of the dog family at the Toronto Zoo.
WHAT: Celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dog by visiting the Toronto Zoo and getting to know the Zoo animals which are related to dogs! Chinese New Year runs from January 29th to February 15th, 2006. Dholes, in the Eurasia Section. are also known as red dogs, and inhabit China, parts of Russia, Korea, South East Asia, India, Sumatra and Java. They are considered Vulnerable in the wild.

One of Africa's fiercest animals is the hyena, which stalks its prey relentlessly. Visit the African Savanna Section to view these amazing animals from the grasslands of Africa.

From the Arctic tundra, coniferous woods and northern deciduous woods, the Arctic wolf is pure white in colour at this time of the year. Tour the Canadian Domain to encounter these beautiful pack animals.
