COMMITMENT TO INCREASE COMMUNITY WELL-BEING MOTIVATES EAST SCARBOROUGH STOREFRONT AND TORONTO ZOO PARTNERSHIP

TORONTO, ON, Thursday, August 27, 2020: Your Toronto Zoo and the East Scarborough Storefront are proud to announce an exciting new three-year partnership embedded within the common goal of increasing community well-being in Scarborough. This memorandum of understanding establishes similar goals the East Scarborough Storefront and the Toronto Zoo wish to work cooperatively and collaborate on including:

  • Work collaboratively on community outreach, volunteer and career opportunities.
  • Build community awareness, to educate about conservation and sustainability.

The East Scarborough Storefront uses the power of collaboration to support people and build community in an inner suburban neighbourhood in East Scarborough. The Storefront focuses on helping networks of residents, social service organizations, academic institutions, businesses, planners and architects engage in meaningful discussions, run programs, organize events, share learning and participate in a wide range of activities effectively and collectively. The Storefront is a project on MakeWay's shared platform.
