TERRA LUMINA: AN ENCHANTED NIGHT WALK INTO A BRIGHT FUTURE NOW OPEN!

TORONTO, ON, Wednesday, August 19, 2020: Your Toronto Zoo’s Terra Lumina: An Enchanted Night Walk Into A Bright Future has opened early for its second season.  This unique multi-media experience was initially scheduled to re-open in October, but due to COVID-19 we moved up the timeline to provide guests with a wonderful and exciting outdoor summer nighttime experience. The first season of Terra Lumina was cut short in March when the Zoo closed due to the pandemic.

“These are truly extraordinary times, and Terra Lumina is an extraordinary experience that are pleased to be sharing with guests in a safe setting” said Dolf DeJong, CEO, Toronto Zoo. “It is so critical that we talk about conservation messages with people, and right now people are looking for fun and safe ways to get outside and connect with nature. Your Toronto Zoo is offering Terra Lumina with controlled crowd numbers and enhanced safety measures, sharing a positive story about protecting our natural world for future generations” he added.

After nightfall at the Toronto Zoo, guests are invited to pursue an immersive experience along a 1.5 km walking path that travels into the future and back. The journey begins when a portal carries you into the luminescent wonders of the year 2099, a time when humans and nature have learned to live in harmony.

With vibrant lighting, multimedia effects, breathtaking video projections and an original score it introduces the audience to an enchanted world filled with possibility. And explore this bright and hopeful future to reveal the powerful secrets of tomorrow.
