MEDIA ALERT/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
MEET OUR NEWBORN SUMATRAN TIGER TWINS AND FIND OUT HOW YOU CAN HELP NAME THEM!
Who: Two playful female Sumatran tiger cubs, the second litter of this rare animal ever born in Canada, with Mom Brytne! The cubs were born on June 28, 2006 at the Toronto Zoo.
What/Why: A cherished photo opportunity with these animals as they leave the nursery for the first time and explore their new quarters, accompanied by Mom. As few as 400 of these tigers may remain in the wild.

At this time we are also launching our Name the Baby Tiger Twins Contest. which runs from September 21st to October 25th.

Submit your entries to: www.torontozoo.com or to Zoo Guest Services. All entries are eligible for grrrrr-eat prizes from Toronto Zoo and TVOKids. A panel of Zoo judges will narrow down the submissions to the top five names which will be posted on TVOKids.com from October 20th to 25th so you can vote for your favourites. The winning names will be announced on TVOKids on October 26th. Check out www.torontozoo.com and see the tiger cubs live on the AGF Tiger-Cam.
