How to Register

Registration takes place online only and is on a first come, first served basis.

Confirmation e-mails

A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you upon successful completion of the online registration process to confirm that your child(ren) has been registered for camp.

Prior to the start of your camp week you will also receive a reminder confirmation e-mail that will list the Group Number your child has been placed in (e.g. Explorers 1, 2, or 3).

Please ensure that the email address you provide during the online registration process is correct and your e-mail filters will accept emails from [email protected]

If you have any questions about your registration/confirmation e-mail please e-mail us at [email protected]

Member's Discount

Members receive a discount on camp fees. In order to qualify for a Member's discount on camps and other programs, registrants must be the children or grandchildren of the membership card holder.

MEMBERSHIP MUST BE VALID on the date you complete your registration. Your membership number must be entered during the online registration process, along with a special discount code (provided when you enter your Membership number during the online registration process) at check-out. To check on your membership status, renew your membership, or inquire about the many benefits of becoming a Toronto Zoo Member, please call the Membership office directly at 416-392-9101.

Sibling Discount

When registering more than one child from the same family for the same week we will discount $10 from the camp fee for each additional child (i.e. first child pays full price and each additional sibling receives $10 discount on camp fees). Please note: in order to receive the sibling discount campers’ online registrations must be completed in the same transaction.

Group/Friend Requests

Requests for campers to be placed with friends may be accommodated, provided that they are in the same age group (eg. Zoo Kids/Explorers/Adventurers), same camp week(s), the request is noted on both campers' registrations, and there is room in the group.

Campers are grouped according to their age in order to provide the best camp experience possible, including age-appropriate activities and programming.

We do our best to accommodate group/friend requests, but cannot guarantee that all requests will be granted. Programming ratios and health and safety are our priority. Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve and hold spaces at any time.

Accessibility

The Toronto Zoo is committed to meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians With Disabilities Act (AODA), and offers a fully accessible camp experience to all campers. All Education facilities for the public are barrier free.

Special Needs/Caregiver

Toronto Zoo welcomes all campers and we make effort to include and support individual campers with special needs. Special needs campers may come to camp with or without a caregiver, depending on their abilities, ability to take part in daily camp programming, and if they require a caregiver in an educational setting during the school year.

In order to provide the most optimal programming and experience for all campers, parents/guardians/caregivers are asked to disclose all physical, medical, emotional, intellectual or behavioural needs at the time of registration. A caregiver is required for children who have caregivers in educational institutions/home school settings and/or if a camper is not able to function during a camp day on their own, due to special needs and/or behavioural needs.

During the week of camp, if Toronto Zoo staff feel that a camper requires a caregiver in order to ensure a positive camp experience for that camper and other campers in the group, the parents will be requested to provide a caregiver.

For children requiring one on one care, parents/guardians are required to arrange their own caregiver to attend camp, including transportation of the camper and caregiver to the Zoo. The Toronto Zoo will not reimburse transportation costs for children with special needs or caregivers. Caregivers who drive a vehicle to the Zoo will receive free parking while caring for the camper. If required, campers must bring their own assistive aids. Full program camp fees apply to the camper with special needs. Camp fees are waived for caregivers that accompany a camper during Zoo Camp hours between 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

All caregivers must stay with the camper during camp hours from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, and for any programming outside camp hours, if applicable (i.e. Before & After Care).

To arrange for your child who has a special need and/or requires a caregiver:
  1. Complete the Supplementary Information for Children with Special Needs form.
  2. Provide all assistive devices, medications, and/or other aids needed while at Camp.
  3. Communicate any needs/issues that may arise with Zoo Camp staff in regards to your child throughout the week of camp.
  4. For campers attending with a Caregiver: Arrange for a brief orientation with Zoo Camp staff, the camper, and caregiver on the first day of camp by emailing [email protected]
