Meet Jo-Anne, a Panda Ambassador Volunteer and Year-Round Volunteer trainee at Toronto Zoo. “What I really like about the Zoo is that Volunteers and Staff are so passionate about what they do.”

Jo-Anne always knew she wanted to Volunteer at the Zoo. When the pandas arrived in 2013 she could resist no longer. “Jo-Anne, this is your chance!” prompted her husband.

As a Panda Ambassador, Jo-Anne helps visitors learn something new in the Zoo’s Panda Interpretive Centre, and gives them a positive and insightful experience. “We knew Jo-Anne was perfect for our team when she arrived for her first shift with her panda ears firmly in place”, say Toronto Zoo Volunteer Services staff. Jo-Anne has enjoyed learning and sharing her knowledge so much that she is training to be a Year-Round Volunteer at the Zoo.

DO YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER AT THE ZOO LIKE JO-ANNE?
