Toronto Zoo is OPEN Labour Day Weekend!

Summer is sadly coming to an end, but there is still lots to do at the Toronto Zoo! Spend your day exploring over 5,000 animals from around the world, including Canada's only giant pandas, Er Shun and Da Mao. Then, escape the sun by stepping inside one of our five indoor tropical pavilions or cool off at our very own two acre Splash Island. Plus, don't forget to enjoy some close up and personal animal encounters in the

Kids Zoo

,
be sure to take in one of our daily

Animal Shows

Keeper Talks

and so much more this long weekend!

Splash Island is open daily from 10:30am to 6:00pm and is added value with your Zoo admission!

There's a new giraffe in town!

The Toronto Zoo's Masai giraffe, Kiko, has been released from CFIA quarantine. Be sure to visit the Masai Giraffe Exhibi, located in the African Savanna, this Labour Day Weekend and give him a warm Canadian welcome.

Kiko arrived to the Toronto Zoo from the Greenville Zoo in South Carolina. Born October 22, 2012 Kiko is almost three years old, and is very close in age to our young female calf Mstari. The Toronto Zoo participates in the Species Survival Plan (SSP) to ensure we have a healthy self-sustained population of animals that are genetically diverse. Kiko and Mstari will be introduced so they can get to know each other before they hit maturity around five years of age, in hopes that we will have some new baby giraffes added to our Zoo family.
