11:00am - 4:00pm, Americas Wetlands

Bats are perhaps the most misunderstood animals on Earth yet they play vital roles in many of the planet’s ecosystems. Misconceptions have played a primary role in the persecution of bats.
Come out and learn more about the eight different species of bats we have in Ontario and discover how our furry friends fly, what they like to snack on and what they do when the sun comes up! Stop by our interpretive tables to see cool bat box models and learn how you can build your very own. Find out why four of the eight bat species we have are endangered and what that means for you.
