The Toronto Zoo is OPEN all weekend long and what better place to visit on Canada Day where you can see some true Canadian iconic species, including the polar bears, grizzly bears, moose, Arctic wolves, cougar, Bald Eagleand more!
 
Summer Has Officially Begun at the Toronto Zoo!
Grab your troop and head to the wildest summer adventure destination in Toronto! Drop by and see our two adorable giant pandas-Er Shun and Da Mao! Enjoy some close up and personal encounters in the Kids Zoo, and be sure to taken in and enjoy daily Animal Shows and Keeper Talks and so much more this long weekend! If the summer heat is too "un-bearable" why not visit our splash island!
Best of all, they are all FREE with Zoo admission!

African Arts and Culture Festival
African Savanna, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily
Back by popular demand, the Toronto Zoo is proud to offer our visitors an experience of African Culture in our own African Savanna. Visit one of the many artist booths and taken home and article of authenticity, including handcrafted wooden masks, soapstone and ebony carvings, hand-woven textiles, painted candles, traditional African musical instruments and more! FREE with admission!

Award Presentation:
On Tuesday, June 25, 2013 the Toronto Zoo's Conservation, Education and Wildlife Department presented a special award to a young conservation support for his outstanding contribution to save an endangered species.Matthew Clowater an elementary school student and conservation supporter, created an art show fundraiser in support of a little-known and highly endangered, Mexican salamander. In the hopes of raising money to help save the endangered amphibian, Clowater (spearheaded project) and five of his friends decided to create and sell axolotl-centric artwork. The art will be displayed in the kids' boutique Planet Kid. Great job Matthew!

Current Zoo Hours: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, daily. Last admissions one hour before closing.
The Toronto Zoo is open year round (except Dec. 25th).
