Description:
Large, 55 gallon, ice blocks are given to the animals
Materials:
55 gallon trash can
Inflatable Beach Ball
3, 1-gallon buckets
Pre-chilled water
Assembly Notes:
3 one-gallon buckets are filled with water and frozen
The ice blocks are removed by hosing the buckets with warm water
The ice tends to break in half when removed and the blocks are placed in the large trash can, covered with water and chilled for at least 8 hours
This process is repeated with 6 more ice blocks (3 buckets' worth) and chilled for 8 more hours
A chambered barrel can be made by placing an inflatable beach ball on top of a layer of ice that is approximately an arm's length from he top of the barrel, covering it with pre-chilled water and freezing for 8 hours
The ball can later be deflated and the opening filled with various food items and plugged with a head of lettuce
