Animals Off Display
For the welfare of the animals, the following are off display for the winter season:
- African Rainforest: Red river hog
- African Savanna: river hippo, white rhino, impala, kudu, ostrich, white-headed vulture, Marabou stork
- Americas: grizzly bear, capybara, jaguar, American flamingo, black-handed spider monkey
- Indo-Malaya: Himalayan tahr
- Australasia: emu, western grey kangaroo
In the event of inclement weather, some animals may be off display or given access to their inside holdings. Other animals may also be temporarily off exhibit due to routine medical check up or brief exhibit maintenance. For a complete list, please contact Guest Services at (416) 392-5929.
