The Adopt-A-Pond Wetland Conservation Programme provides teachers, students and community groups with information resources and educational opportunities to conserve, restore and create wetland habitats.

 


 2008 is Year of the Frog!!

The year 2008 has been declared "Year of the Frog" by Amphibian ARK (AArk).  This is an international collaboration derived from 3 conservation groups: the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), the IUCN/SSC Conservation Breeding Specialist Group (CBSG), and the IUCN/SSC Amphibian Specialist Group (ASG).  AArk is dedicated to aiding the global amphibian crisis.  For more information on Year of the Frog, visit their website!

Turtle Updates!

Our turtles are out of hibernation!  With this wonderful weather, a few of them have been spotted basking and warming up for the season.  There will be big changes to the Urban Turtle Initiative this summer, so be sure to stay tuned  to our Turtle Movements Updates page for more information on our turtle-riffic creatures!
