Expected Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students will have learned how
to:
- outline and explain the cycles in which water, carbon,
oxygen, and nitrogen move through nature
- discuss the physical properties of water
- describe and understand the amount and distribution of
saltwater and freshwater on the earth
- discuss ways in which students and their families may
conserve water resources
- contrast water absorption and water run-off
- define and understand the functions of a watershed
- identify examples of pollution
- discuss the impact of water pollution on amphibians and other
aquatic life forms
- investigate the effects of a nutrient overload on an aquatic
ecosystem
- discuss the various parameters of water quality and interpret
their results
