REPTILE NESTING

Turtles
Turtles nest from late May to early July. Eggs require 60-90 days to hatch. The temperature of the eggs in the nest determines sex in many species - high temperatures (30oC) produce females, low temperatures (22-25oC) produce males.

Snakes
Snakes usually do not build nests but simply lay the eggs in holes or hollows or even on the bare ground in damp, warm places.
