Free Teacher Workshops
(for groups of 10 or more teachers)

We will provide free training for teachers, either at the Zoo or at your school or board location. Half-day workshops at the Zoo include an illustrated presentation on educational opportunities at the Zoo and a sample guided tour of the Zoo.

Tips on how to construct a wetland and curriculum resources based on wetland issues

Adopt-A-Pond's Wetland Curriculum Resource:

Teachers' Day
Discover how we can make your class visit a memorable education experience. On Sunday September 20, 2009, the Toronto Zoo invites teachers and one guest to come to the Zoo for a free visit and an Education Centre open house.  A current teacher's card is required for admission.  Pre-registration is not required.

Serengeti Bush Camp
Extend your class's Zoo experience all the way to Africa at our Serengeti Bush Camp.  This wild overnight experience (mid-May to the end of August) lets you and your class sleep out under the stars within roaring distance of lions, hyenas, elephants, and more.  This amazing educational and entertaining program includes Zoo admission, tent accommodations, buffet style dinner & breakfast, snack, and an oppoutunity to see the rest of the Zoo on another day.  The Serengeti Bush Camp site can accommodate up to 56 people.
