Tiger Awareness Weekend

Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, 2019
Indo-Malaya Pavilion courtyard
11:00am – 3:00pm
Free with admission

Come join the Toronto Zoo in celebrating Tiger Awareness Weekend! Our celebration not only focuses on the plight tigers are facing in the wild but aims to build appreciation for this beautiful carnivore.

On Saturday, get to know our Sumatran tiger’s Hari and Kemala and enjoy activities like touch tables, educational games, a chance to meet our tiger keepers, merchandise for sale, silent auctions plus a special enrichment feeding at 2:30pm. All proceeds from merchandise and the silent auction will support the Tiger Conservation Campaign which aids in fighting illegal wildlife crime in Sumatra.

On Sunday, visit out Amur tigers and enjoy a volunteer touch table, colouring station, meet and greet with the keepers plus a special carcass feed at 2:30pm. Guests will have the chance to learn about the Amur tiger’s critically endangered status and how together we can save them.
