Blue Racer Snake


Blue racer snake

Coluber constrictor foxii

  • 90-152 cm; record 182.9 cm (large snake)
  • grey to greenish blue
  • head dark, throat white
  • belly light blue
  • Juvenile snakes are grey with a central row of dark grey-brown blotches on back but not on the tail.  And the head is speckled with white and black. 
  • only found on Pelee Island
  • scales smooth; anal scale divided
  • lays eggs
  • ENDANGERED
